SQE preparation

Prepare for professional assessments for qualification as a solicitor in England and Wales, separately from undergraduate modules.

Your course and jurisdiction come first.

Most subject guidance here focuses on the law of England and Wales. The UK has distinct legal jurisdictions; Scots law and Northern Irish law can differ. Tell us your jurisdiction, institution and syllabus so we can assess tutor fit rather than assume the same rules apply everywhere.

SQE is a professional assessment pathway.

SQE1 and SQE2 are professional assessments for qualification as a solicitor in England and Wales, not undergraduate modules. Although some legal knowledge overlaps, preparation should follow the relevant assessment specification and your stage of study.
