Academic integrity is non-negotiable.
Tutoring should strengthen a learner’s own analysis and writing. It must never become ghost-writing or completion of assessed work.

This is an evergreen application route for independent tutor opportunities, not a salaried vacancy or promise of assignments. Suitable briefs are shared privately with approved tutors, with unnecessary client identity and contact details withheld until an engagement is awarded.

01Is this an employed law tutor role?
No. Tutors work with The Law Tutors as independent contractors. There is no employment relationship, no guaranteed work and no minimum number of hours. Each engagement remains optional and its rate and scope are agreed separately.
02Where does the tutoring take place?
Current opportunities are for online tutoring. Tutors need a reliable internet connection, a suitable private teaching environment and the ability to communicate clearly with learners remotely.
03Which areas of law do you recruit tutors for?
Applications may cover SQE1, SQE2, undergraduate LLB modules, law conversion or PGDL study, Bar Course subjects, A-level Law, postgraduate study and professional legal skills. Applicants should select only subjects they can evidence confidently.
04How are tutoring rates decided?
The application asks for an indicative preferred rate range. That preference supports matching but is not a fixed promise. The actual tutor rate, scope and basis are stated in each opportunity and agreed before an engagement is accepted.
05Does artificial intelligence decide who is approved?
No. AI may produce an evidence-based summary to help organise application information, but it does not make the final decision. Applications, interview notes and approval decisions are reviewed by a person.
06What happens if my application is approved?
Approved applicants receive a secure account invitation. They complete their tutor profile and marketplace preferences, review and accept the current independent-contractor agreement, and can then view suitable privacy-minimised opportunities and submit proposals.
07Does approval guarantee tutoring work?
No. Approval provides access to the private tutor marketplace but does not guarantee that opportunities will be available or awarded. Tutors choose whether to bid and must explicitly accept any offer before an engagement begins.
08How is my CV handled?
CVs are uploaded to private file storage and made available only through authorised owner review. The application also records the privacy and recruitment declarations you make when submitting.
