Vacation Schemes and Training Contracts

The application process for vacation schemes and training contracts is extremely competitive and challenging. A two-year training contract is the stepping stone for a future career as a solicitor so obtaining a place at a reputable firm with an excellent training and development structure is important.

We offer one-to-one consultations with former City lawyers who can review your CV, covering letter and application answers and provide guidance on how you can improve them.

How Will Our Advisers Help?

Our vacation scheme and training contract advice takes the following format:

  1. An initial consultation – this is very important so that our advisers can find out exactly what your aims and objectives are and which firms you want to apply to.
  2. Review of first draft – after we have received the first draft of your application answers, we will review them in preparation for a consultation with you.
  3. Your consultation – we will have a discussion in our tuition centre or on Skype and provide our feedback on how you can improve your answers. Our advisers will go through the whole application and discuss with you about how to answer difficult questions.
  4. Follow-up – once you have submitted your answers and if you are offered an interview, we can then provide interview preparation.
